ImageFIRST associates wholeheartedly believe that community engagement is integral for any company that wants to play a productive and positive role in their place of business. After all, not only does volunteer service make a positive impact on the community, but it also helps to enrich our own associates.
All in all, there are only upsides in giving back. That’s an idea that Ronald McDonald House knows through and through. Last month, we were happy to take our medical linen service hats off for a few hours to go help the selfless folks at Ronald McDonald House.
On April 26, a group of our associates from our Corporate Office went to the local Ronald McDonald House that supports St. Christopher’s Hospital. From 3 to 8 PM, our team cooked meals for the 20 families staying in the house at that time, serving dinner at 6 PM. The food was delicious and included a range of options, including chicken and peppers, meatballs, hotdogs, string beans, rice, carrots, tater tots and salad. Yum!
Our associates had a wonderful time there, and enjoyed meeting the families and bonding over making food together.
About Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House provides a crucial service that helps make children’s time in the hospital shine a little bit brighter. For many seriously ill or injured children, the hospitals at which they are required to stay for long term periods are often far away from their homes. That means it can be tough for their families to manage spending enough time with them.
Ronald McDonald House aims to solve that issue by providing those family members a place to stay, allowing them to be close to their children in a time of need. The house we volunteered in accommodates 20 families at a time, and provides them with private rooms, and amenities like an exercise room and T.V. room. Their work also directly impacts the healthcare community for the better—something we strive to help achieve in any way we can.

We had a wonderful time pausing our health care laundry and linen services for a few hours to help cook dinner for a group of exceptional and inspiring families. We look forward to working with Ronald McDonald House again!
