At ImageFIRST, we believe there is more to life than just coming to work and completing your task for the day. That’s why our purpose is to build a truly great company that has a positive impact on our associates, our community, our customers, and their patients. As part of our ongoing efforts to support our communities, each of our locations participates in a charitable event on a quarterly basis.
Most recently, our Corporate office chose to support Philabundance. Since its founding in 1984, this local charity has worked toward one primary goal -- to help feed those who are hungry. In the Delaware Valley alone, there are approximately three-quarters of a million people who struggle to get the food they need to feed themselves and their families. Philabundance serves nine counties in the Philadelphia area, providing food for approximately 90,000 people each week. Many of these people are seniors or children, who do not have the means to support themselves. We believe that the organization’s mission is of great benefit to many in the region, which is why on May 25, 2017, we sent eight associates from our corporate office to volunteer at Philabundance for the day.
The ImageFIRST associates joined volunteers from other companies for a seemingly monumental task -- sorting over 13,000 pounds of meat that had been donated to Philabundance. Never shying away from a challenge, our team dove in head-first, working hard to “out-volunteer” the other companies who were present, according to one associate. Their friendly, competitive spirit allowed them to sort more pounds of meat than the other organizations who were present. Great job, team!
Philabundance collects food, including dry goods, produce, meat and dairy in order to serve the many people in our region who need assistance with getting access to healthy foods. They have a number of programs in place to facilitate this, including KidsBites, Fresh For All and the Philabundance Community Kitchen.
ImageFIRST does far more than just launder and deliver linen to medical facilities across the country. Our Customer Advocates work hand-in-hand with each of our customers to make sure that all of their needs are being met. Not only do they take care of inventory management and linen deliveries, but they also are available 24/7 to respond to urgent situations.
