ImageFIRST Donates Medical Linen to Healthcare Facility in the Dominican Republic
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – August 16, 2021 – ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists, a leading provider of laundry services for the healthcare industry, made a significant donation of various medical linen products to the Illinois-based nonprofit One World Surgery to support their recent project to build a health center in the Dominican Republic.
Five billion people lack access to surgical care globally. One World Surgery focuses on providing exceptional surgical and primary care to underserved communities throughout the globe. Through the dedicated efforts of physicians, clinical staff, and volunteer support staff, OWS can provide life-changing medical care to thousands in developing countries, such as Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
One World Surgery recently announced that they are expanding their service efforts in the Dominican Republic. With the construction of a new site to include a surgery center, primary care clinic, and visitor center, the community will have the opportunity to receive long-term, quality health care.
ImageFIRST, a medical linen and laundry provider headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, has partnered with One World Surgery previously — supplying their Honduras facility with the linen and scrubs needed at the time. When they learned about OWS’s new construction project in the Dominican Republic, they reconnected to learn about how they could help support their new facility.

ImageFIRST donated over 2,500 medical linen products totaling more than $10,000 to One World Surgery to support their new facilities in the Dominican Republic. Donated items included products such as patient gowns, bed linen, towels, microfiber mops, floor mats, cubicle curtains, medical staff scrubs, and surgical gowns.
