ImageFIRST Provides Liacouras Center with Isolation Gowns
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – May 7, 2020 – ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists announced they will be providing sanitized isolation gowns and scrubs to Temple University’s Liacouras Center in North Philadelphia, PA.
The Liacouras Center was set up as a surge medical facility in late March and is prepared to provide care to more than 200 patients recovering from COVID-19. On April 13, the facility opened to staff only—a mix of volunteers and contracted healthcare workers. As of Monday, April 20 the facility began accepting patients.
Isolation gowns and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have been in high demand since the shortages began in January due to the COVID-19 response. Faced with the challenge of securing isolation gowns to protect their workers, the Liacouras Center reached out to ImageFIRST, headquartered in the Philadelphia region, to provide them with the necessary supplies.
Within a matter of days of receiving this urgent request, ImageFIRST was able to provide isolation gowns and scrubs to the Liacouras Center and is now providing service seven days a week for the immediate future in order to keep up the demands of the facility.
