ImageFIRST Director Elected to HLAC Board of Directors
We are proud to announce that ImageFIRST's Director of Safety and Operations, John Hopper, has been chosen for the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) Board of Directors for the 2022-2024 term.
HLAC is the nonprofit organization that inspects and accredits laundry facilities processing textiles for healthcare facilities based on a set of rigorous standards — prioritizing infection control and patient safety. ImageFIRST facilities are HLAC-accredited due to our advanced laundry management processes.
John was selected to serve on HLAC's voluntary Board of Directors, along with eleven other board members. Board members include objective experts with experience in infection prevention, environmental services, laundry operations, and government inspection.
"At ImageFIRST, we take pride in the level of cleanliness that we deliver to customers each day — from our Family Standard to our advanced wash process,” says John when asked about this opportunity. “It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to work with HLAC to uphold these same standards to healthcare launderers nationwide.”
John Hopper will represent Class 1 on the Board of Directors, which represents textile maintenance companies engaged in healthcare textile processing. His term is set to begin on January 1, 2022, and will conclude on December 31, 2024. With more than 30 years of laundry experience in the healthcare, industrial, and hospitality markets, John’s knowledge and extensive experience in healthcare laundry operations will make him an exceptional addition to the HLAC Board.
We are thrilled for John and we look forward to seeing the impact he has on the HLAC Board of Directors.
