ImageFIRST Donates Isolation Gowns to Clinic in Honduras

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – May 25, 2021 – ImageFIRST, a leading provider of linen and laundry services for the healthcare industry, donated boxes of isolation gowns to Serving at the Crossroads, a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization, to support their mission of empowering healthcare professionals in Honduras to deliver medical care to underserved populations.

Serving at the Crossroads aims to provide essential equipment, medication, and health care for those who otherwise could not afford or have access to treatment. Through various brigades, U.S. volunteers train and mentor healthcare professionals in Honduras on medical procedures and techniques to empower them to continue providing health care beyond their visit.

An associate at ImageFIRST connected the healthcare linen and laundry company to Serving at the Crossroads, resulting in ImageFIRST donating 350 isolation gowns to their Manos Amigas clinic in Honduras. These isolation gowns will serve as a protective barrier for staff when providing care to patients.

“Serving at the Crossroads is an organization doing really important work,” said Bill Roberts, the Senior Vice President of Sales at ImageFIRST. “We’re always looking for ways to give back and connect with organizations, and we’re fortunate to have the ability to help their impactful medical mission down in Honduras.”

Dr. Bob Sumner, President of Serving at the Crossroads, accepted the donation on behalf of their mission.

“Serving at the Crossroads supports the Manos Amigas clinic in the Copan region of Honduras. With the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2 hurricanes that struck Honduras in November 2020, PPE has been in short supply in Honduras. The gowns donated by ImageFIRST will provide much-needed protection for the clinic healthcare providers as they continue to care for the sick in the community.”

ImageFIRST’s partnership with Serving at the Crossroads highlights the values-driven mission of the company. ImageFIRST donates and collaborates with charities and organizations locally, nationally, and globally, and encourages associate participation. In addition to Serving at the Crossroads, ImageFIRST has supported numerous community-based organizations including local chapters of Ronald McDonald Houses, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, local Boys and Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, local chapters of Back on My Feet, and United Way.
