HEALTHCARE ALERT – ImageFIRST Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update #8

Let’s talk!  Whether you have remained open throughout this pandemic or taking steps to reopen, we can discuss the changes in your operation and how we can best serve you. We’d love to hear how we can best support you through the impact of COVID-19 on your operations. Your ImageFIRST Service Representative will reach out to you.  Please feel free to connect with them.

We know you are counting on us to get you the linen and scrubs you need to care for your patients – we value your trust and want to tell you: you can count on us. We are in this together!

Providing uninterrupted service has helped us identify additional opportunities to improve your ability to provide critical patient care. Some of these include the replacement of unreliable disposable products, such as fluid resistant barrier gowns, with our reusable products. Another is to assist you in improving your infection prevention practices by providing sanitized scrub and microfiber cleaning products services.

Please let us know how we might help you.

Our goal has always been to provide you with safe, sanitized linen and uninterrupted service to you and your teams, while keeping your staff and ours safe. Here’s how:

We’ve Been Open for Business!

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has identified ImageFIRST as “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers”. This allows us to maintain our normal schedules, thus supporting you and your patients.

Meeting Your Needs: Our Business Continuity Plan

Our Business Continuity Plan continues to prove effective. It ensures we have the people, products, supplies, PPE, and backup steps necessary to continue uninterrupted service to you during this exceptionally challenging period.

Our Associate Safety is Critical

We expanded our pre-shift screening process to include temperature checks. We have shut down our facilities to vendors/outsiders. Following the CDC recommendation, all our associates are wearing face coverings to slow the spread of the virus.  We have also expanded our PPE use, housekeeping, decontamination and social distancing practices. Read more under our news and resources.

As we continue to learn more from healthcare and public policy officials, we have extreme confidence in our processes and ability to safely handle soiled product, including linens which may have potentially been exposed to COVID-19.  ImageFIRST, in the interest of extreme caution, is prepared to process such product as follows:

  1. Product potentially contaminated with COVID-19 must be identified, kept separate and brought to the attention of your ImageFIRST Service Representative;
  2. Laundry bags containing this product must be securely closed to prevent product fallout; and
  3. When possible, we ask you to let this product sit at least 6 hours after use before we pick up.

As always, we value our partnership and appreciate your cooperation.  We are committed to providing your staff and patients with a safe service and hygienically clean products.
